Looking to eat healthier but can’t afford to? Why not grow your own food?
The average price of summer fruit and vegetables like peaches, cherries, tomatoes, and peppers has sky rocketed in price. No matter where you live, you can plant a small garden and save a ton of money while eating right. The average country garden runs about $35.00 to plant. A smaller city garden runs about $15.00, and you can have a ‘patio pot’ garden for even less.
For such a small cost, it makes perfect sense to grow your own food. An initial cost of $35.00 can be recovered several dozen times over. And, don’t be afraid of planting a ‘city garden’. Soil in inner city neighborhoods is usually virgin soil and tends to yield better and bigger crops.
