Your Morning Cereal – Woman Gets Back Ring She Lost in a Lake 54 Years Ago

A woman, Jan Zarcharda, who lost her class ring in Lake Michigan in 1954, has it back. The ring was found by a metal-detector hobbyist, Robert Savage, who told the Ludington Daily News that he found the ring about 12 years ago. He did a bit of detective work by looking at the initials and the year on the ring. He found a Ludington High yearbook for 1955 and found that Jan Pedersen was the only person in the class with the right initials.

Your Morning Cereal – Food Mom Eats May Influence Baby’s Gender

Snips and snails and puppy dog tails … and cereal and bananas?

According to new research, what a woman eats before pregnancy may influence the gender of her unborn baby.

Having a hearty appetite, and eating potassium-rich foods including bananas, is a key in determining gender. Not skipping breakfast seemed to raise the odds of having a boy as well.
